Greetings! I had hoped to get the next chapter out by now, but playing Lizzie and Jefferson through their first two years of college took far longer than I thought it would. But the good news is that I have this week off, so I should be able to get it out pretty quick.

In other news, I have a few spoiler pics from the fall rotation for you.

First, Matthew and Jan are old.

I'm actually rather pleased with how they look, even if they are horrible people.

Second, Lizzie and Jefferson are young adults and off in college.

Yay! Lizzie is majoring in economics, as her LTW is to be a Business Tycoon. Not sure if she'll get to do that. Jefferson is a mathematics major, as he wants to be a Game Designer. I am most grateful for a Pleasure sim that doesn't have a numbered LTW.

In other Legacy 'hood news...Amelia McCarthy Pitts has a want to flirt with the Leader of the Pack. Sigh. This cannot be good. So, one of the other things I plan on doing this week is creating a blank 'hood with everything all ready to go should Simsfield 1.0 go boom. I have just about all the Sims extracted, and almost all the houses packaged, so that will be easy. In some ways, it will be nice to start with a fresh 'hood as I can delete some of the extra sub 'hoods that I have (Maxis downtown, SimEurope downtown, Sim State).

I figure I can build the blank 'hood and have it ready to go when I need it. Plus, I can keep a copy so if Simsfield goes boom more than once I won't have to start from the beginning again.

So that's it. I'm off now to go see Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part I (horray for daytime showings during the week), and then I have a few errands to run. After that, it's back to writing. I really want to get this chapter done before Thanksgiving.

No that isn't good. Although if it's isolated it might not mean too much just yet. I keep having sims with wants to be 'friends' with animals, but people type friends not animal friends and some are already animal friends with the said critter.

I was afraid of that. :( Still, it's just the one househould, and I'm not attached to them AT ALL. I've even toyed with the idea of having the Pitts household wiped out by a Spanish flu like illness (I am coming up on the turn of the century, after all, and many died from that in the late 1910s). But I'll feel better having a back up ready to go.

Yes, Matthew and Jan are old! I'm fighting the urge to see how long they have left in SimPE. So hard. And Jefferson is pracically grown up. Hijinks abound! Stay tuned.

I use the 'Days left' shrub from simlogical, it tells me how many days my elders have left. Yes I'm far to week to not know!

Honestly, it's not the end of the world. Not good, but not the end of the world. Keep backing up, though, and make sure you have everyone extracted. It COULD be a sign of impending doom, but if it's isolated, it's probably not super impending. I've had child LTWs on and off since gen 2, and I've spotted some wants to talk to dogs, but my hood hasn't imploded yet, so I'm not freaking out.

However, I don't know anyone who's done a playing-more-than-just-the-main-house legacy who HASN'T had to do at least one rebuild, except for those who are only a couple of gens in. So having a new hood ready to go isn't a bad idea.

Also, yay old Matthew and Jan! Time for them to stop being stupid and get OUT. :P

I've been noticing a few other things (LTWs that don't match the aspiration, and I don't have that hack), so I figure if I build a blank 'hood I should be set for a while. Not fully freaking out yet, but just getting prepared. I just need to extract the last few members of generation 5...I think I'm just missing the youngest members. But that will get done when I'm finished the chapter.

Yay for elders! But Jefferson won't get to be head of the family until Matthew dies...and that's still a little ways away. But soon. Soon. :D
