I think everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief when they finished the chapter. I did want it to be a bit of a roller coaster; I can’t lie. It was kind of nice to do the letters again, and it really was a good way to mark the passage of time and to fill in some of the blanks.
Poor Dotty indeed. I certainly understand that you were relieved it was Dotty’s husband and not Nick. Yes, that drabble I wrote for Myshuno where I mentioned her visiting a grave in SimFrance is Edward’s. I had hoped that scene would make people worry for Nick, even if they knew the injury was coming and it hadn’t appeared in the chapter yet.
Aw, Nick’s homecoming was pretty sweet. I’m sure the family was very happy to have cause for celebration after four years of turmoil. I hope Dotty’s chapter will give you a sense of how she started to make that recovery. I’m glad you liked the scene between James and Nick; despite his gruff exterior, James really does care about his family.
