silverbelleljGreetings! As I shared earlier, I’ve taken a stab at recoloring/retexturing hair using Pooklet’s colors, which I’ve fallen in love with. I’m by no means an expert, but wanted to share my first creation.
It’s a Helga mesh (52), that I originally found here. Loved the mesh, hated the hair colors. I was also frustrated by the fact that the headscarf colors were liked to specific hair colors (this is a general frustration of mine. I mean, why can’t I pick what color hat I want my Sims to wear?). Anyway, I took the mesh, added Pooklet’s family 1 colors to it (excepting the elders, where I used Time Bomb ‘cause I prefer their hair to be whiter), and created a family around each of the headscarf colors
Headscarf shows for teen-elder.
There are two versions: one with bangs and one without. They are not linked so you can download one, the other, or both!
Scarf Hair with Bangs
Colors included are Dynamite, Depth Charge, Incendiary, Explosive, and Time Bomb for Elders.

Colors included are Dynamite, Depth Charge, Incendiary, Explosive, and Time Bomb for Elders.
Okay, now for the technical information. Created using Pooklet’s textures & colors. Gray is linked to the black hair. Headscarf texture is from the original Helga hair. Binned and families usingCatOfEvilGenius’ awesome binning tool (seriously, it’s great. All my custom hair is now sitting happily in the proper color bins. Get it now, if you don’t already have it). Compresorized.
Since none of the textures are mine, feel free to recolor to your little heart’s desire. If you like what I’ve done, a thanks would be nice. And if you use it in something like a story, a pic would be great.
