Characters: Marsha, Jefferson, James, Cindy, Sterling, Viola, Cyrus, Georgianna

Summary: Marsha decides she wants a photo with all her children in it
Notes: Canon. Takes place at Cyrus’ wedding to Georgianna. It will probably not be featured in the next chapter, but said photo will most definitely be taken and hung on the wall at the Bradford Farm.

“All I want is to have one photograph with all my children in it. Is that too much to ask?”
“Mama, don’t have kittens, okay?” James said as he rolled his eyes. “We’ll do it. But you and Papa have to be in it too.”
Marsha beamed at her eldest, and turned to the photographer. “I think it will be much simpler if you direct us to where you want us; if you leave it to us it will take the rest of the afternoon.”
“Of course,” the man replied, dragging two chairs over to the front of the willow tree that sat on the lawn of Cyrus and Georgianna’s new home. “We’ll have the bride and groom sit there. Mr. and Mrs. Bradford, if you’d stand behind them. James, Cindy, here, and then Sterling and Viola there.”
The family arranged themselves as they were told, and the photographer nodded. “Now, everyone, hold still and smile when I tell you.”
“Wait!” Marsha cried. “What about those two? They’re my grandchildren.” She nodded towards a blanket under the shade of another tree in the yard where a toddler and baby slept.
“Mama,” James said, raising his hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, “We just got them to sleep. Can we please let them? Otherwise, they’ll be up for the rest of the reception.”
Marsha’s face fell.
“Mama, we really should let them sleep,” interjected Viola, sensing the budding argument. “How about James and I schedule a time for the photographer to come over and photograph his and my families, and we’ll get you copies of them?”
“But…” the older woman said.
“Mama, I’m missing my own party!” Cyrus burst out. “You asked for a picture with your kids, and you’re about to get it.”
“Fine,” Marsha sighed. “But I expect those photos of you lot before the month’s over. Understood?”
“Yes, Mama,” Viola and James trilled in unison.
“Lovely,” the photographer said, glad that the little family drama had worked itself out. “Now, on the count of three. One, two…”
