(Posted early because of the very real possibility of me not having power/internet later. Stupid fall snowstorm).
This photo shoot came about because of my desire to play around with some of the supernaturals that I don’t get to use on a regular basis because of the nature of my legacy. So, in honor of All Hallows Eve, please enjoy the mythicals and monsters I’ve created. Cookies if you can guess who’s who.
Only bad witches are ugly.
-The Wizard of Oz

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
--Macbeth, Act IV, scene i

I beheld the wretch — the miserable monster whom I had created.
Frankenstein, Mary Shelley

The lawn
Is pressed by unseen feet, and ghosts return
Gently at twilight, gently go at dawn,
The sad intangible who grieve and yearn....
--“To Walter de la Mare,” T.S. Eliot

**********
There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls.
--George Carlin

Listen to them - children of the night. What music they make.”
--Dracula, Bram Stoker

All you have to do is walk up to a house, ring the doorbell and say "Tricks or treats."
--It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

From myself and the Bradfords, have a Happy Halloween!

on 2011-10-31 04:55 pm (UTC)Thank you! I had a lot of fun shooting these (and then picking out the ones I wanted to use). What you said about the ghost pictures makes total sense, and I'm glad I was able to evoke that from you.

on 2011-10-30 06:22 am (UTC)Heh, love Jan as the evil witch and Matthew as the zombie.
Is that Jefferson and Marsha as the scientist and the bride of Frankenstein?
Ooh, and Taddy and Calla ghosts!
Heh, werewolf Sterling and plantsim Viola!
Vampire Cindy is lovely. :D And of course she's with James.
Oooh, and trick or treating with the kids! I spot your three main gen 6 couples and what I assume are their eldest kids, but who's the skin 4 woman?
Lovely use of the supernaturals to do something you don't usually get to do!

on 2011-10-31 05:01 pm (UTC)*blushes* The S4 woman giving out the candy is just a placeholder (created randomly in CAS) so I could decorate the exterior of the house while seeing how it looked at dusk. I just used her as a prop more than anything else. Should have said that, huh?
It was very fun to play around with the creatures that I don't get to use. Of course, now I miss them and really want some of them in the legacy. Sigh. Only a few generations left, and then I can move on to another project.

on 2011-10-31 06:43 pm (UTC)And yeah, the creatures don't really fit in your legacy, but soon!

on 2011-10-31 05:05 pm (UTC)Aw. *blushes* Thanks. I do stuff like this to keep me invested in the characters, so I can keep doing my legacy.
And thanks for giving me a boost on what was turning out to be a rather depressing day. <3 to you too.
Happy Halloween!
