Poor Steven, trying to live up to all the expectations - the worst of which come from his own self! I think he puts more pressure on himself than anyone else ever would, to be completely honest.
Ah, gender issues. Well, Nettie's young enough that she might get more of the equality than the older ones will. We'll have to see!
...That is a terrible reason to have a baby. I foresee disaster here because, seriously, no. Neither of them want this kid. Poor sprog, it is not going to grow up in a happy home.
Yay impending marriage! Is Mary a dormie we know or one you created or randomized? Aha, just got to the end - very nice.
Twins? Oy. Well, I guess you got Rosalie the ten kids want!
Shirley WOULD get a girly girl, wouldn't she? *amused*
Very nice chapter, can't wait to see where you take the next couple of generations!
Story is the whole point for all this. Pretty pictures are nice, but not necessary.
Yeah, Steven is putting all this pressure on himself to be “perfect.” The rest of the family just wants him to be happy, and since he’s putting on a pretty good impression of that no one’s saying anything. I’m not sure how long he’s going to be able to live up to his own expectations, though.
With the women’s rights movement of the 60s upcoming, I figured I should mention it. Nettie is a bit luckier in that she’s younger, and she’ll have her way of thumbing her nose at society’s expectations.
Rosalie is not thinking clearly, no. She is only thinking about herself, and I feel bad for all her kids, but the new ones in particular.
:D I feel like Steven has been around forever, and now it’s time to get him married. I am hoping that her genetics will finally stomp out the Bradford mouth; I went in and fixed Steven’s genetics so the mouth is no longer dominant.
Yep, twins. Rosalie got her 10 kids (and I did something I’ve not done before). She’s a Family Sim with the twin perk selected.
Shirley would totally get a girly girl for a daughter. I wish there really were a kid’s tea set, because *that* would be a picture worth staging.
I’m excited to get the last two generations born and this legacy completed. Thanks for commenting!
Steven has met his future wife, and she will certain help pull him away from his books. I’m looking forward to sharing more about her.
No, more kids was not a good decision, but I’ve never done the 10 kids wants, and it was a good reason to do so. The older kiddos are just about ready to head off to college or adulthood, so the house should get a little less hectic soon. That, and Taddy and Calla’s life bars are getting awful full. :(
I like Peggy and Doug together too, though I don’t think it’s going to work out, at least right now. He’s pretty set on leaving, and Peggy wants to go to college. Maybe when they’ve both grown up a little.
Dotty has been travelling, and she’s 1 trip away from completing all the vacation memories. She’s happy, just not the happy that she had originally envisioned.
Next chapter will include a wedding! Generation 9 will be here soon!

on 2016-05-07 07:37 pm (UTC)I really don't think having another set of twins was a great idea for Bruce and Rosalie but I'm sure it fulfilled that 10 kids want. :)
I like Peggy and Doug together. I hope that she can convince him to stay. It's nice to see Alice helping out whenever she can as well.
I'm glad that Dotty gets to continue to travel. I wish her story had gone differently but it seems like she is happy anyway.
Looking forward to see where generation 9 is headed!
